Select the Tables | Administrative Tables | Payroll Codes main menu option.
The system will display the system standard table maintenance screen.
The Payroll Code Table maintenance screen allows you to Add new codes, Update the Description for existing codes, and Delete codes that are not being used.
Because of the data integrity built into the system databases, many codes, such as the Payroll codes, can NOT be deleted if they are being used or have ever been used by other tables in the system.
Payroll Codes are similar to Time Classification codes except that the concept behind the Payroll Code table was to set up a table of codes that would be identical to the codes used by the Payroll Department of your company and, as such, are NOT crucial to the overtime scheduling and tracking process.
