Select the Tables | Shift Information | Template Creation Codes main menu option.
The system will display the system standard table maintenance screen.
The Template Creation Code Table maintenance screen allows you to Add new codes, Update the Description for existing codes, and Delete codes that are not being used.
Template Creation Codes are used in the creation and maintenance of both the Base Templates and the Weekly Templates that are used to drive the overtime assignment process. They are also used in the Shift Types table in order to set up a default template for each Shift Type (e.g. Mon-Fri Day, Mon-Fri Eve, etc.).
These codes are relatively simple (e.g. NS for normal shift hours, 6 for hours worked on a sixth day, etc.). Additional Template Creation codes can be added whenever necessary to meet a particular department's needs.
The Template Creation codes are also used in the Overtime Allocation tables:
Single Shift OT Allocation (used to "pre-set" charges for single-shift overtime assignments, including overtime assignments that are adjacent to the employee's normal shift hours}.
Double Shift OT Allocation - PRIOR (no Codes) (used to "pre-set" charges for double-shift overtime assignments where the employee is working two consecutive overtime shift assignments).
Double Shift OT Allocation - AFTER (no Codes) (used to "pre-set" charges for double-shift overtime assignments where the employee is working two consecutive overtime shift assignments
Double Shift OT Allocation - PRIOR (with Codes) (used to "pre-set" charges for double-shift overtime assignments where the employee is working two consecutive overtime shift assignments).
Double Shift OT Allocation - AFTER (with Codes) (used to "pre-set" charges for double-shift overtime assignments where the employee is working two consecutive overtime shift assignments).
Triple Shift OT Allocation (with Codes) (used to "pre-set" charges for Holiday and/or other special overtime assignments where the employee is working two or more overtime shift assignments within a 24-hour period).
